Originating in Sydney, Australia, and offering an all-day dining experience, bills is famous for its ricotta pancakes and scrambled eggs that are called “the best breakfast in the world” or “the world’s best egg dishes.” When compared to the restaurant’s seven other locations throughout Japan, bills Ginza fascinates with an especially luxurious atmosphere.

The jasmine rice salad with fennel and pickled daikon radish: quinoa, green kimchi, yuzu dressing, and tofu or tuna updates one of bills popular dishes—the poke bowl—and allows for plant-based option with tofu. It also takes their signature brown rice and replaces it with jasmine rice. Jasmine rice, prepared the bills way, features coriander, chives, quinoa, and millet for a healthy, nutritious base of rice. Toppings include daikon radish pickled in turmeric and house-made green kimchi, while the dish is finished off with a fennel and sprout salad served with a yuzu dressing.

WORLD BREAKFAST ALLDAY Ginza Store serves breakfasts from around the globe to let people learn about the world through breakfast. The cute, cream yellow exterior catches the eye and gives the feeling that you’ve been wandering through some foreign town. You can tell which country’s cuisine is being served for the month by checking the flag that is displayed. Rumor has it that many people will come here seeking the flavors of home.
The Croatian breakfast for ¥2,200 is available for a limited time from October 2 through December 1, 2024.
The menu features breakfast dishes from three regular countries, as well as limited-time items from 60 different countries that rotate every two months.
New international dishes are created in partnership with that country’s embassy or people from the country living in Tokyo, as the restaurant prides itself in accurately representing each country’s flavors. Dishes aren’t made to appeal to the Japanese palate but rather offer the enjoyment of authentic flavors.
Taiwanese breakfast, ¥1,750
The regular breakfast choices come from a lineup of British, American, and Taiwanese cuisines. The popular Taiwanese breakfast features a filling combination of savory soy-milk soup (xian doujiang), Taiwanese egg crepe (dan bing), and mochi rice ball (fan tuan) with a five-ingredient filling. The fact that you can enjoy the authentic flavors of three Taiwanese dishes in one go without having to travel to Taiwan will blow you away!
Many people aim for the 7:30 a.m. open time on weekends, so be sure to wake up early and get there as soon as possible. Breakfast is served all day, however, so don’t worry if you accidentally sleep in.

With no conspicuous signage or name, the bukeoguk specialty restaurant Tarachan has a simple yet elegant appearance. Bukeoguk is a beloved homestyle Korean dish made with dried pollack simmered in soup. In Korea, it is a popular breakfast item to deal with hangovers.
The owner was first impressed by the delicious flavors of the dish when she ate it in Seoul, Korea, and opened the shop in December of 2021 because she wanted people to enjoy its authentic flavors in Japan as well.
The warmth of the woodwork inside the store, plus the carved lighting and modern tilework all lead to a calm atmosphere. The only item available is bukeoguk. You can order by buying a ticket (cash not accepted) from the ticket machine at the front of the restaurant.

This savory soup simmers dried pollack in a broth made from kelp and bonito flakes, and includes egg and frozen tofu for a nutrient-packed delight. The kimchi that comes with the set is handmade by the owner! You can eat it separately as a side, or put it in the soup to change up the flavors.
The gentle flavors of bukeoguk are a rarity in the typically spicy cuisine of Korea, and are great for mornings when you’re not feeling too hungry! This nutrient-rich soup will seep through every cell in your body and help you have a healthy start to your day.

A hot topic among curry lovers after it appeared in the Tsukiji Outer Market in 2020, Ittaikan moved to Ginza and reopened in June of 2024. Its popularity has continued to increase, causing eager guests to line up in front of the restaurant before it opens.
Many people may be surprised by the idea of curry for breakfast, but you’re sure to be captivated by its delicious flavors once you try it!︎
Wagyu beef curry, ¥1,650 (includes mashed potatoes, red cabbage raspberry marinade, South Indian-style daikon radish pickles, and glazed carrots)
This wagyu beef curry is the only contender! It’s made from 100% A5 wagyu Japanese Black beef. Slow-cooking the beef makes it tender and fall apart in the mouth, while still delivering an impactful presence in the curry! The incredible curry sauce features a fruitiness that’s followed by an exquisite spiciness.
The only thing the restaurant cares about as much as its curry is its shimmering white rice. Taking 20 to 30 minutes to prepare, the rice is cooked fresh to order in an earthenware pot. The rice master has carefully selected and prepared three varieties, each enhancing the flavors of the curry.
Choose your favorite brand: Ittaikan’s original blend of Tsuyahime and Yukiwakamaru, Yamagata Prefecture’s best brands; Sakihokore from Akita Prefecture with its fluffy grains and sweetness that spreads across the palate as you chew; or Yukitsubaki from Uonuma in Niigata Prefecture, the highest quality rice with a firm texture and a rich sweetness and flavor (+ ¥150). The steam and aroma that rises from the earthenware pot when you open the lid is beyond description.

THE CITY BAKERY is a popular bakery and cafe that originated in New York. Their Tokyu Plaza Ginza store is directly connected to Ginza Station, making it incredibly easy to access. It serves up delicious New York flavors like pretzel croissants made with a local recipe and giant muffins, earning high marks from international clientele. If you’d like to use the cafe, make sure to grab a seat before ordering.

The morning menu (7:30 a.m.–11:00 a.m.) features French toast, eggs benedict, and other great breakfast dishes. The simple CB breakfast plate, which includes delicious thick-cut toast, fried egg, bacon, and a salad, provides balanced nutrition and is perfect for those early, active days.
In addition to the morning menu, you can make breakfast to your liking by ordering bread or deli items from the adjoining bakery.

From seasonal to original drinks, the restaurant offers a large variety of options to pair with your breakfast. Especially, be sure to try the coffee supervised by the barista, who expertly selects different bean varieties for each type of coffee to deliver tailored flavors. The original homemade lemonade combines lemon, honey, sugar, and rosemary, which are steeped for 48 hours to create a rich aroma and refreshing flavor. Try it mixed with soda in the summer and served hot in the winter.

The long-standing Tricolore Main Location was established in 1936. It has a strikingly charming, retro appearance with its red brick walls amidst the modern buildings of Ginza. When you pass through the revolving door, carefully polished to an elegant amber color, you’ll enter a world completely disconnected from the hustle and bustle of the city. Its expansive atmosphere is wrapped in a classical style and decorated with antique furnishings.

Customers who line up outside before the cafe opens are usually eager to enjoy the morning set. Their signature antique blended coffee is made from carefully selected, high-quality beans harvested in the highlands of Central and South America, roasted to a strong, rich finish. This aromatic cup highlights the acidity while striking a designed balance with its bitterness.
They use pain de mie for their thick-cut toast from the popular bakery Burdigala that has its main location in Hiroo. Thinking of how it would pair with the coffee, they focused on finding bread that offers plentiful wheat aromas and crisp, flaky texture. The bread is delivered each morning, and the staff cut each piece by hand. It is then toasted quickly on high heat to be crispy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside.
Cafe au lait for an additional ¥50 (¥90 starting on October 1)
Morning drink options include cafe au lait and black tea, and we especially recommend you try the cafe au lait. Coffee and milk, each in silver pots, are poured from up high right in front of your eyes for a truly stunning performance! But more than just for the visual, pouring from up high introduces air into the drink, making for a lighter mouthfeel. The fluffiness of the milk will keep you coming back sip after sip. They are also kind enough to answer requests for extra milk or more.
All of this is why the Tricolore Main Location continues to attract visitors from far and wide for its morning menu. Get an early start and come experience an incredible morning you won’t forget.

The buffet table is lined with small dishes that provide a variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese tastes, all crafted from seasonal ingredients by a head chef with a background in traditional Japanese cuisine. Every plate is carefully crafted by the hands of chefs from preparation to cooking, offering authentic flavors.

To serve yourself, take the tray from your table that is separated into nine sections to the buffet and fill it with the items of your choice.
There are 15 varieties of small dishes that offer a good balance of nutrition including fish, meat, and vegetables. They are also beautifully presented to delight your eyes as well as your taste buds! In addition to the small dishes, other choices include miso soup, seasoned rice, and more for the Japanese cuisine lover to get more than their fill. The restaurant also features a full lineup of desserts for after your meal such as the very popular French toast, monaka wafers where you sandwich the red bean paste yourself, and seasonal sweets.
One dish you don’t want to miss is the Sangenton Pork golden broth shabu-shabu, prepared in the live kitchen and served fresh to order. If you place the shabu-shabu ticket found on your tray into the designated box, it will be prepared for you on the spot and delivered to your seat. The pork passed through the homemade golden broth taken from bonito flakes and kelp is juicy and so delicious that you’ll want to drink the broth as well.
It is recommended that you make a reservation in advance as the restaurant is quite popular and full every day.
